Whistler Proposal Spots

I know I'm biased, but I think Whistler is one of the best places to propose, especially if you're looking for a scenic and memorable Whistler proposal spot.

Surrounded by the Coast Mountains, alpine lakes, and a coastal rainforest, Whistler has something to offer everyone! Check out some of my favourite Whistler proposal spots.

Best places to propose in Whistler

You’re planning a meaningful, personalized, private proposal, and your proposal location needs to match your vibe.

The best part? There’s no shortage of amazing Whistler proposal spots to choose from! Quiet lakesides or epic mountaintop views, endless ideas for a private, scenic proposal in Whistler. And this list is a great starting place!

Stone Circle

This hidden gem, found next to Lakeside Park, is a romantic proposal location with a peekaboo window to Alta Lake. Private and intimate all year round, the Stone Circle is definitely one of the best places to propose in Whistler.

Best time of year: all year round. The Stone Circle is pretty shaded.

Best lighting: anytime. Shaded location.

Pro Tip: Due to its popularity, especially in the summer, it’s worth booking the Stone Circle for an hourly rate of  $125 + tax (as of Mar 2026).

Rainbow Park

A favourite park for tourists and locals alike, Rainbow Park offers views of Whistler, Blackcomb and the rest of the Fitzsimmons mountain range. With trails, docks + a beach, the variety of backgrounds makes it one of the most versatile Whistler proposal locations.

Best time of year: Fall - Spring for a more private proposal

Best time of day: Sunrise or sunset.

Whistler Mountain

Enjoy the views during the 35-minute gondola ride up to the Roundhouse lodge. Enjoy the views from mid-mountain or take the Peak chair to the Top of the World Summit, the highest point on Whistler Mountain.

Access to the lodge is available all year round and is subject to weather conditions. The Peak chair is only available for sightseeing in the summer. (Winter sightseeing tickets are $152 + tax. Apr 19-May 20 sightseeing tickets are $113 + tax. Summer sightseeing tickets are TBC.)

Best time of year: all year round

Best time of day: limited to gondola hours 10 am - 3 pm

Rebagliati Park

Nestled between the Upper Village and Whistler Village, you'll find Rebagliati Park. Right next to the covered bridge that crosses Fitzsimmons Creek and has a view of Whistler Mountain.

It's an easily accessible proposal location if you don't have a vehicle and is just a short walk from almost anywhere in the village.

Wanna make it a surprise? I got you! Check out my blog post for how to plan a surprise proposal!

Best time of year: Fall - Spring for a more private proposal

Best time of day: Anytime. Lots of shady pockets we can pop into, even in the middle of the day.

Adventure Upgrade

Your proposal will be memorable on its own. But make it extra by including an adventure like a helicopter ride to Marriage Lake or a sunset champagne toast with a 4x4 Jeep ride up Blackcomb Mountain.

It’s a fun way to upgrade your proposal into a full experience — especially if you're exploring more adventurous Whistler proposal locations.
