A Surprise Proposal At Rainbow Park In Whistler
Michael's fiancée loves all things snow, winter + Christmas. So proposing in Whistler in the winter was a no-brainer.
Having thought of proposing on the mountain, the fact that it was a Saturday and a recent snowfall made finding a secluded, private spot to propose challenging.
Prioritizing experience
Although Michael liked the idea of proposing moutaintop, it was more important for their proposal to be private and intimate.
So we pivoted and chose to go to Rainbow Park. It’s one of the best places to propose in Whistler with scenic views of both mountains.
Planning the proposal
Michael convinced Alexandra to go for a short drive to the park, but completely shocked her by getting down on one knee.
She was so surprised and had no idea he was planning on proposing that she was speechless for most of the shoot!

Keep the vibes
After the big moment, we spent a little while taking photos. But Alexandra could not stop looking at her gorgeous ring, or hugging her soon-to-be hubby.
So rather than interrupt a romantic moment, I gave Alexandra and Michael space to enjoy the moment and revel in the emotions.
Tips for the best proposal photos
Hiding the ring can sometimes be tricky, so I’d recommend getting a slim ring case from Amazon. It helps reduce the bulkiness in your pocket, which could give away the surprise.
If you plan to get down on one knee, here are my recommended steps to get the best proposal photos.
Hold the ring in your hand.
Get down on one knee.
Say what you want to say.
Ask them to marry you.
When they say yes, put the ring on.
Stand up + have a cuddle.
This gives me time to document you down on one knee.
