Half Moon Bay

This past weekend we attend Matt and Michelle's beautiful wedding. It was held at the amazing Rock Water Secret Cove Resort by Half Moon Bay on the Sunshine Coast. All I can say is O. M. G. what an awesome location! We were lucky enough to stay in the tent cabins that are absolutely devine. Heated tile floors, gas fireplace, jacuzzi tub with light therapy, rain shower head and no TV. Honestly, if you're looking for a romantic getaway with the significant other - I highly recommend splurging on one of these.

The weather report had been inconsistent all week but Saturday we awoke to not only lovely blue skies - but to a bald eagle perched on a branch right outside our tent cabin! What I would've given for a point and shoot camera with a zoom! Or better yet - presentable pijamas that would've allowed me to trek down the walkways barefoot to take a better photo, even with my 50mm prime lens, and not turn bright red from embarrassment if the mother of the bride saw me. But alas, my embarrassing pjs and I slowly retreated back into the tent cabin and got dressed for the day.

It was a short, simple and sweet ceremony followed by a wonderful dinner under an outdoor tent. We had a celebrity faces book that you could hold it up and guess the celeb to entertain ourselves while the meal was brought out and speeches were given between courses. The cabin closest to the outdoor tent was rented out specifically to be used as the bathroom. Heat lamps were brought in to keep everyone warm and happy. Wine flowed constantly. Matt and Michelle really thought of everything possible to make the wedding FUN, including a midnight "Fry Bar" that kept everyone from becoming too debaucherous between sets of the 4 different DJ's spinning during the dance party.

Needless to say, this was definitely on the list of funnest weddings. Thanks Matt and Michelle!!!
