Rustic Wedding In Sorrento BC - Emily + Ben
When it came to choosing the perfect location, Emily + Ben kept things practical to start. They began their search by choosing the area, somewhere between Calgary + Vancouver when they cam across Rustic Wedding (High Country Tree Farm). Nestled close to the border of the Thompson-Cariboo + Shuswap regions of BC, Rustic Weddings has been featured in numerous wedding blogs, and for good reason! It has an unbelievable landscape and a team who thought of every little detail to make the day a truly unique experience.
THE VENUE
One of Emily and Ben's favorite features of Rustic Weddings was the incredible tree farm setting. The lush trees and beautiful countryside provided a breathtaking backdrop for the ceremony and reception. The wedding planning team, Laura, Karen, and Candice, were also a highlight of the day. They took care of everything, allowing the couple to enjoy every moment of their special day.
THE DAY
The morning of Emily and Ben's wedding was filled with anticipation and excitement. Since Emily + Ben to skip the first look, they instead began the day by exchanging notes, as really great alternative way to connect with your love.
These notes also become amazing keepsakes that capture the raw love and excitement of that special day. You can stash them in your pocket and keep it with you all day or share them with your closest peeps, and whenever you read them in the future, they'll take you right back to that incredible moment. It's like a personal love story you can hold in your hands.
As the ceremony drew near, Emily was eagerly awaiting the moment when she would walk down the aisle and see Ben for the first time. And when that moment arrived, it was truly magical. Seeing each other at the their ceremony was a highlight for both of them, and a moment they will never forget.
Throughout the day, Emily and Ben shared many unforgettable moments with their wedding party, friends, and family. One of Emily's most memorable moments was chanting "WEDDING, WEDDING," with her wedding party.. For Ben, one of his most unforgettable moments was kissing Emily for the first time as husband and wife.
One of their favourite surprising moments from their day was when their MC Patrick surprised them with a life-sized cut out of their cat, Chester, so he could join them at dinner.
The Advice to Future Couples
As they look back on their wedding day, Emily and Ben are grateful that they focused on the things that mattered most to them. They made sure that the day was centered around their love for each other, their family, and their friends. And they made sure that everyone had a great time with delicious food, beautiful photos, and a lively dance party thanks to the talented Kevin from Brightside DJ's really went the extra mile to make our dance party special. He allowed Ben and Emily to share so many special moments together, and with all of their friends/family dancing to their favourite songs.
It was a day that they will cherish forever, and I am so honored to have captured all of its beautiful moments.
