Winter is coming. I know. I sound like season 1 of Game of Thrones. But it's true. It's rainy. It's grey. The leaves have all fallen and are creating massive floodings at intersections whenever it rains harder than a sprinkle. It's also harder to find the motivation to go out and shoot. I mean, it's dark by 4:30pm. So in order to avoid the urge to begin hibernation, I wanted to get out and practice. Practice finding good light. Practice making the most of any location. Just, practice. So I enlisted the help of my friends. And what can I say, I love them.
Kelli was most gracious and offered to be my model. The timing worked out well as she was getting her hair and make up done for a halloween party so we met up in the afternoon and headed to one of her favourite restaurants in Gastown - Cork and Fin.
Now, let me just say. I've never been, so I was excited to go to start off with. What completely won me over was that Francis, the owner, let Kelli and I have full reign of the restaurant DURING his break between lunch and dinner AND served us an amazing late lunch. I mean, can you ask for a nicer man or restaurant owner? I LOVE the restaurant and the food is absolutely amazing.
If you haven't been, I highly recommend it! I also recommend visiting their sister restaurant, Merchant on Commercial.
